The Marvel Zombies storyline involves an alternate reality in which an undead infection is passed among the superhero ranks. A number of superheroes are transformed into ravening zombies. During this time the Silver Surfer descends, intending to warn the Earth of the coming of Galactus; the Surfer is subsequently devoured and a portion of his cosmic power is divided among the zombie superheroes. Ultimately the heroes devise a means to diminish Galactusâ power, leaving the latter vulnerable to cannibalization. Giant-Man, a decaying corpse, is clad in a tattered red costume. His face is shadowed except for a pair of small glowing eyes and a broad rictus grin.
