If anyone was noticing BuyZombie going a bit slow today I was hammering out some issues with the databases and doing a LOT of updates to older posts. As you may notice under every post in 1-5 “tags” as a kind of idea of what the post is about. I only started adding them about 5 months ago. I have a new plugin for the site I wanted to install today but for it to be truly useful it needed EVERY post to have tags. So I spent about 6 hours doing massive updates to posts adding tags, AND fixing the display of many older posts that weren’t formatted right. Also some of these changes may help people find the site better to fulfill their needs to play with the undead!
6 Hours later, and every post from 2007 (when we launched) to now is tagged. So that means I got to install my fun new plugin! It’s a feature most of you will probably never see. It’s useful for people opening any specific post or coming to the site where a specific post is linked. Now it will show you up to 5 “related” posts on pages that show individual posts. Hopefully if you came here looking for just Resident Evil or Evil Dead stuff you can now more easily find posts related to what you were originally looking for! It’s something small, that won’t be noticed by everyone, yet if you are one of the people who will use it I hope it helps!
