3zombiestories3 Zombie Stories is a feature on BuyZombie to bring you some extra Undead News from around the Internet. If your reading this site than you are a huge fan of zombies in general. Basically this feature is a cop out as quite frankly I am not able to do a write up on everything that passes through my inbox or that I find online alone. The solution? An occasional compilation I will try to do at least once a week of interesting zombie articles, videos, etc that can be found online! (Logo by: Erin Rose)

1. Famous Monsters review of Midnight Walk

Famous Monsters review of Midnight Walk. “The Measure of a Man is an absolutely fabulous coming of age tale that is sure to please all you zombie lovers.

2. Fatally Yours Review of Midnight Walk

Fatally Yours Review of Midnight Walk. “Another of my favorites from this anthology is The Measure of a Man by George Willis. This tale is set in South Africa and tells of Zulu warriors battling something they’d never encountered before – the undead! Besides the originality of the story, I really enjoyed how the lead character, a young Zulu in training, was developed.

3. Horror Drive-in’s Review of Midnight Walk

Horror Drive-in’s Review of Midnight Walk. “The Measure of a Man” was actually my favorite piece in the book. While the attackers were zombies in this case, it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things; the assault could have come from any foreign entity. What is important is the overarching theme of a young Zulu’s coming-of-age during the battle, and all the responsibilities that come with it. The story was very well-written and is a fine example of this type of story.

B. Payne limns a serial killer trying to survive a road trip; “The Bear Who Swallowed the Sky” by Jason M. Light mixes Native American folklore and contemporary dread as a man fights to save his family; and Joey O’Bryan’s “The Svancara Supper Society” is a novelette set in a future where synthetic food becomes all too addicting. The book also includes an introduction by Stoker Award-winning author Lisa Morton.
