Zombie Ferox Part 1
Daniel Semel is putting together an independent zombie film called Zombie Ferox and here is the first part of it. He is planning on filming the movie in segments to both cut down on costs as well as learn from his mistakes (he is doing posts on every step of the film making project on his official page.) Right now he is unhappy with how the first zombie special effects and blood work were done so he devised plans on how to change those for the next shoot. What’s really fun about this project is all of the details he gives along the way of what he’s doing, what he likes, what he doesn’t, AND how he wants to change it.
Zombie Ferox is about a group of ex-soldiers trying to survive in a world taken over by the living dead. They spend their days fighting the dead while looking for food in abandoned cities and towns. As the soldiers try to stay alive they must confront something more dangerous than the zombies: other survivors.
While not too many details of where they are going to go with this I’ve always loved the movies that hint that even while the undead hordes are what we need to worry about that humanities need to be selfish or in control make us even worse than the zombies after a global outbreak were to occur.
