First Look At Ben From Night of the Living Dead: Origins
Dread Central has snagged the first look at Ben in the upcoming 3D animated feature film Night of the Living Dead: Origins and I can do nothing but agree with their assessment. WOW. I was a bit iffy when I first heard about the project but as time has gone on, combined with this screen, I’m getting my hopes up that they may just be onto something amazing.
From an early interview the director and co-writer de Soto had this to say on the film:
I wanted to make this look like a living Monet; it’s expressionism,” de Soto said in an earlier interview. “It’s going to be the first zombie movie played on a epic scale. This is the ‘Empire of the Sun’ of zombie films … I lived through the L.A. riots and saw the city on fire; I remember seeing people running, people getting pulled out of cars. And with 9/11, these images have been ingrained on people of my generation. I just thought that is the way it would really be, a lot of chaos.
We are being promised a new look at animated movies when this hits screens and if this is true I’m hoping to see a big screen release. Ideally we’ll have a trailer later this year and I am nothing but excited as more details are being released.
