More News On The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is in production. If you don’t know anything about the comic series basically take everything great about the zombie genre and put it in print form done right. That’s it. Pas that there is talk that soon, very soon, we will be seeing this on our televisions on AMC.
Pilot Films In May!
On May 15th in Atlanta, GA it begins. Robert Kirkman’s epic tale of what happens after the outbreak is being brought to life on screen by Frank Darabont. Frank’s darker style as shown in The Mist should be perfect to show off a world ravaged by the undead and his character portrayal as shown in both The Green Mile and more importantly The Shawshank Redemption shows that he has the chops to pull off Kirkman’s characters. I’m excited, are you?

Casting Rumors
There are apparently three runners up to play Rick in The Walking Dead and the first that I will bring is clearly has my vote.
Jamie B amber
I’m a Battlestar Galactica fan. While they usually showed off Jamie as clean cut he can clearly pull off a semi darker look and mood and having experience with science fiction I think ‘horror’ would be a great genre for him to jump into. You have my vote Lee Adama! .. I mean.. Jamie. Whatever. Let’s hope Jamie get’s it! SO SAY WE ALL!
Mark Pelligrino
This guy is on Lost (which I still haven’t watched. At this point I’m just waiting for the series to end to watch it all at once) and Dexter. Oh look someone with experience in horror? I could see it. As much as I want Jamie to get the nod from the three options are here I would have no issues with Mark being chosen for the roll.
Stuart Townsend
As much as I’m pro anything “Stuart” there’s only one Stuart I’m interested and that’s me. (I’m a selfish prick.) My vote on this one? HELL NO. There is absolutely no chance in hell Townsend could pull off this roll. No…. No.. and more NO. I’m sure AMC wouldn’t let this happen for a casting choice. I have too much faith in them. They wouldn’t do it to us. Right?

they should consider Josh Holloway from LOST. he's got the chops to pull off Rick just fine.
That's a possibility! With Lost coming to a close everyone there is going to be looking for a new home. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them landed a role in TWD.
I read someone's wish list that suggested Peter Krause (from six feet under) he would make an excellent choice, I'm jealous I never thought of it first.
This also crossed my mind..
Oh… you're right he has the look.. and with six feet under I can see the acting.
I just checked his imdb and looks like he has 1 movie in the works and a show he's doing a pilot for.. so I doubt he'd be getting approached on it. Good call though for a possibility.
