Outbreak Omega 3 in St. Cloud, MN from April 24th-25th 2010

Now what’s the one thing that comes to mind as a necessity for defending yourself during a zombie outbreak? Firearms. Honestly how many of you picture trying to survive against a horde of the undead with blades or your bare hands? Of course unlike the movies you can’t just pick up a gun and instantly be able to “Shoot them in the head” which as we all know is the only way to dispatch those who eat brains. You need to get practice time in and Outbreak Omega 3 is not only a way to get practice in but have what sounds like a ton of fun while doing so!

Stages

STAGE: Stocking Up
You are in charge of hunting for your group of survivors. Oddly enough, only the birds seem to be brave enough to venture into the forests. Luckily for you, you have plenty of birdshot. Not-so-luckily for you, birdshot isn’t the best defense against the zombie horde on your hunting grounds.

Stage Type: Shotgun
Ammo Estimate: 75 Rounds, Birdshot Only
Cost: $10 or 2 Stage Tickets

STAGE: Anybody Home?
After walking the wilds of Central Minnesota for what seems to be an eternity, your small band of survivors has come across an abandoned house. Guess what? You drew the short straw and you get to make sure it’s clear before you stop for the night.

Stage Type: Shotgun
Ammo Estimate: 20-30 Rounds, Birdshot Only
Cost: $10 or 2 Stage Tickets

STAGE: Oh Look, A Horde
You and your plucky party of post zombie outbreak apocalypse survivors are trudging through yet another “bad section” of wilderness when you happen opon a massive horde of the undead. Nice, they all seem to be paying attention to something else. You should be able to get some good head popping practice in before they realize you’re there.

Stage Type: Rifle/Shotgun/Pistol
Ammo Estimate: Unlimited
Cost: $0, (Sight In/Target Practice)

STAGE: Cover The Supply Line
Your squad has discovered a small cache of supplies, just in time too, as yours were running low. Protect the supply runners from the horde as they move the goods back to the relative safety of your base.

Stage Type: Shotgun/Squad
Ammo Estimate: 10/40
Cost: $5 or 1 Stage Ticket Per Shooter

With 8 more still to be announced! While this isn’t a competition so to speak there will be quite a few prizes up for grabs (though only those that pre-register will be allowed in on the big ticket items.) Also there is planned to be a Zombie Hunters ball with a live band and a fest that includes whole roasted hogs and side items. (I shouldn’t be typing this while I’m hungry…)
