Handling the Undead by John Ajvide Lindqvist
As a zombie fanatic I of course end up enjoying other forms of horror films as well. While not a huge fan of those ‘other’ undead that enjoy blood over human flesh and have fangs, vampires ‘can’ be interesting at times. There was a foreign vampire film that finally made ti to the states called “Let The Right One In” which is hands down my favorite vampire film in years. (Watch it subtitled, the dubbing is horrible for voices and be patient through the slow introduction.) Well the author is John Lindqvist and he has a novel coming out about OUR kind of undead – the zombie.
It’ll be coming out on September 28th and if it anywhere even remotely as well written as Let The Right One In we’ll be seeing a blockbuster movie made out of it and loving every second of it!
Across Stockholm the power grid has gone crazy. Electrical appliances turn themselves up higher and higher and cannot be disconnected. As a sense of foreboding builds, people everywhere are struck down by headaches that reach an intolerable pitch. Then it’s over.
