May December Publications Is Currently Taking Submissions
Our good friends over at May December Publications are taking short stories for not 1, not 2, but 3 different short story anthologies that are in the works! Yes writers should rejoice as there are a lot of open options for getting their short stories read currently!
First Time Dead
A new anthology is opened. We are accepting submission for a new anthology titled “First Time Deadâ€. If you have never been published and have always wanted to write a zombie story, then now is your chance and you have time. Deadline for this will be October 15, 2010.
The story must be between 3000 and 10000 words and should be emailed to [email protected] attached as a .doc (preferred) or .rtf Please send in your submissions using 12 font Times New Roman, double spaced, justified. The title page should contain your contact info and word count.

Looking for standard zombie fare, the biggest restriction is that you must carry the correct chromosome balance to enter. The story must be between 3000 and 10,000 words and should be emailed to [email protected] attached as a .doc (preferred) or .rtf Please send in your submissions using 12 font Times New Roman, double spaced, justified. The title page should contain your contact info and word count.
Deadline is January 2011

Full Length Novels
If you have a full length zombie novel send a query letter and chapter by chapter synopsis of no more than two pages, introducing yourself and your story. If interested, we will ask you to send in the first 2 chapters. If we are still interested we will ask for you to send in the complete story, If your story is accepted, we will send you a contract and more information.
Send your query letters or questions to [email protected] with ‘query letter’ in the subject line.

Please send in your completed short story but DO NOT send in you completed full length novel until asked for. If you send in your novel without following guidelines and being asked for it, it will be rejected without being read.
