Another Edition Of The Weekly Walking Dead News
The Walking Dead Release Date
According to Bloody-Disgusting The Walking Dead is going to premiere on October 8th. That’s right ladies and gentlemen if the rumor is true we only have to wait a little under 2 months to be able to finally start watching this (hopefully) amazing zombified television series!
Robert Kirkman talks The Walking Dead
io9 has an interview with Robert Kirkman thats a scatter shot of questions on all of his work. There are 2 questions concerning The Walking Dead though so I’ll post one of them here and the other you’ll have to click through to read!
io9: You came out of Comic-Con with The Walking Dead being a big winner. Heck, the line to get into the preview panel was one of the craziest I saw all weekend. How did that feel?
Robert Kirkman: It was awesome. I was leaving the Convention Center trying to get to the Omni, and I walked into one of the squares where they were doing giveaways. One of the giveaways was for The Walking Dead. It’s just a really odd thing to try to go to your hotel and have zombies walk up to you and promote your own show.

Interview with a Zombie Extra
OK no one would be interested in an interview with just any extra that played a zombie so this one is with Charlie Adlard, the British artist who does The Walking Dead!
AMC: What inspired you to play a zombie extra in The Walking Dead?
Charlie Adlard: I just figured if I’m going to be on set watching it, I might as well be in it. I also wanted to get the make-up on as an experience. And I was lucky because I got to sit in the trailer and have the make-up applied by Greg [Nicotero]’s (for want of a better word) A-list guys. That was brilliant, the best part to be honest. It wasn’t like those horror stories you hear from all the stars who’ve had prosthetics put on for hours. It was an hour and a half, and it was air conditioned.

Set Reports:
This week also brings us two separate set reports!
I really have no sense of time right now,†Darabont tells Fango. “Some days I say to my AD, ‘Remember that thing we shot two weeks ago? We actually shot that this morning, didn’t we?’ Because it feels like it was two weeks ago.†Darabont shakes his head, grinning. “You do lose track of time—if you’re having a good time; otherwise it kind of grinds away at you.

Atlanta was just the close city, that’s really all it was,†says The Walking Dead comic creator Robert Kirkman of the setting for the series. “The opening issue takes place in Cynthiana, Kentucky, which is where I went to high school and lived a good portion of my life. At the beginning they talk about how some of the people in neighboring states would have gone to larger cities so they could fortify them and protect the population. So Atlanta’s only six hours away from where I lived, and I figured it would be like New York, Atlanta, Miami, maybe Chicago … they would protect those and kind of funnel people in there.
This one has a LOT of fun quotes and incites on the setting and zombie actors for the show! Head over to Dread Central for the full write up!
