Trailer For The Grave Bandits
The Grave Bandits is a full length feature film of pure adventure, horror, twists and dark comedy. It tells the story of two teenage orphans named Romy and Peewee who live in the slums of the Northern Philippines. To survive, they steal precious belongings from corpses; necklaces, gold teeth, earrings and anything of value. The townspeople are so fed up with their disrespect for the dead that a hefty reward awaits for their capture.
Their lives take a major turn when a local undertaker catches them stealing in the cemetery. Romy and Peewee run and steal a boat from the local villagers. They make it to the sea but the boat unexpectedly runs out of gas. Left with no other choice, they sail to the closest desolated and uninhabited island only to encounter a greater foe; a pack of dead cannibals.
Romy and Peewee find a safe haven inside a cave where they meet MAIYA, a young native girl who had been held hostage by the local smugglers and left for dead. There, she tells Romy and Peewee that the dead cannibals were the local smugglers who, after contracting an alien virus cocooned inside an ancient meteorite, became mindless creatures with lust for flesh and blood . Maiya was captured by the smugglers because she holds the secret to finding the mythical diamond meteorite which she vowed to protect. Though despite her warnings, the local smugglers insisted on finding the diamond that later turned them into flesh eating cannibals.
Trapped on the island and left with nothing to defend themselves against the swarm of flesh eating ghouls, the trio work together as a team. They manage to escape the undead. But the diamond the size of a tangerine is hard to resist! Soon, the Grave Bandits discover that the greatest battle they will encounter is within themselves.
