Plants vs Zombies to Infect Android
So it looks like PopCap is finally going to show you some love for Android. The “OFFICIAL” word is that there is “no comment” but that the games are “coming along” and the first games they launch on Android will be in Q2 of 2011. However they do not promise that Plants vs. Zombies or Peggle (as pictured above) will be one of the first titles. With PVZ2 in the pipeline I’m pretty sure they will want to milk the first one for as much as they can while they can!
Oh and the above image? Unlike our photoshopped (and openly admitted fake) PVZ on the DS screen the 2 above are REAL sceens posted on Twitter by PopCap’s Jeff Green. More information is that the games will not be supported by ads so I’m sure we’ll see them up for sale, most likely at a similar price as their iPhone ports.
Now there is no fact in what I’m about to say but *I* am going to guess we will see 1-2 exclusive game mode and achievements as they have done on most of their portable versions. Of course with PVZ2 in the works that might just be a waste of time. As long as they don’t rush the port we’ll all be happy with the results!
