Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Has A Third Potential Director
So while the back and forth on film directors for PPZ has been a bit hectic (we’re on our third candidate now) this is a directory I am very excited to hear about. Lionsgate is apparently attempting to tap Christopher Smith as their new person to helm this film. To be completely honest if he gets put in charge I will be waiting in line on the first day to see it.
While Christopher Smith is not a household name quite yet he created one of THE BEST horror films I had watched last year as he is the director of largely unheard of but largely loved by those who have seen it film, Triangle. It probably helps that he’s British so would be able to help get the film to have that British tone it’ll surely need.
Regardless. Triangle is one of my favorite horror films of the last year (with no zombies) so for him to take over this film I can’t expect it to be anything but fantastic. Probably better then the novel itself.
If Christopher doesn’t take the job though I will probably be sick of all of the rumors and directorial changes and not want to watch it! (It’s got zombies so that’s an exaggeration.)
