Leigh Whannell is going to give us all Cooties

Leigh Whannell is no stranger to horror. He is one of the writers of the Saw series as well as the recent horror box office hit Insidious. So what’s going to happen when he comes up with an original (and what sounds to be entertaining) idea for the zombie genre? Well I’m hoping pure gold!

So what’s it going to be about? Well Bleeding Cool caught up with him and he had this to say:

I actually just wrote a comedy about a zombie virus that breaks out in a primary school but only effects people who haven’t been through puberty.

There’s all these eight or nine year olds running around and the teachers are holed up inside the school. And the titles of the film is…? Cooties. That’s just an out and out comedy.
