Ving Rhames Again Enters The Zombie Apocalypse
Well it looks as if Ving Rhames is once again going to suit up in his ass kicking look and tone of voice to go up against zombies, tihs time in the Zombie Apocalypse. What a catchy and original title don’t you agree? I really have absolutely nothing to say on the film until we see a trailer since the early shots are a mix of interesting to groan worthy though the zombies do look pretty dead.
Months after a zombie plague has wiped out 90 percent of the American population, a small group of survivors fight their way cross-country to a rumored refuge on the island of Catalina.
The award-winning co-star of the Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead remakes leads Taryn Manning (Hustle & Flow), Lesley Ann Brandt (“Spartacus: Blood and Sandâ€), Johnny Pacar (“Make It or Break Itâ€), and Eddie Steeples (“My Name is Earlâ€) into battle against the walking dead in this gore-soaked zomsploitation flick from writers Craig Engler and Brooks Peck and Species: The Awakening director Nick Lyon.

I just went through quite a range of emotions here. Excited by the pictures of Ving Rhames kicking ass with a sledgehammer. Then they lost me with those terrible looking zombie masks. Then they got me right back when I saw Crab Man from My Name is Earl.
Ving with a sledgehammer is something that is extremely long overdue! 😉
Honestly, I watch so many poorly made zombie films that scrape the bottom of the barrel that I can get excited for ANY professionally made zombie film with real actors I’ve heard of. I want to see this way more than I would want to see Colin 2
I’m always a fan of Ving and even though he can be in some pretty painful films I’m kind of hopefuly on this one. Worried but hopeful!
