It is that time of year again!! Zombie Gras will be invading Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 from 10am until 6pm. Zombies will start at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum at 10am where make-up artists, vendors and characters will be roaming the halls to the tunes of our undead DJ. There will be a special guest appearance by Jim Krut, the Helicopter Zombie, from the George Romero classic Dawn of the Dead. Also, a very exclusive reemergence of Devin Hannon’s famous ZombieNation exhibit will be here along with Devin who will be signing his art.
At 1pm all zombies will process down Camden St. to Pickle’s Pub to kick start the Zombie Gras Bar Crawl and Scavenger Hunt with contests and prizes! Zombies can bar crawl their way around the Inner Harbor on the Orange Line of the Charm City Circulator taking advantage of the various exclusive specials at each stop along the way and end up back at Pickle’s Pub to end the crawl with more contests and prizes!! Check in to receive a wrist band for the bar crawl and the scavenger hunt will be at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, wrist bands will be handed out from 10am until 6pm (bar specials will be good all day and night). Zombies crawl for free and the living must pay $10 admission to the museum to receive a wrist band. ***Must be 21 to receive a wrist band***
Bars in the bar crawl: Pickle’s Pub, Tir Na Nog, Houlihan’s, Dick’s Last Resort, Pratt St. Ale House and Frank and Nic’s West End Grill.
Contests: 1:30pm- Best Zombie, Best Zombie Couple and Best Zombie Family; First person/team to finish scavenger hunt; 6pm- Best Surviving Zombie and drawing for winner from remaining finishers of scavenger hunt.
Parking: All day parking will be available in the North warehouse Lot of Camden Yards (right outside the museum) for $10, there is also parking at the Hilton Hotel. Geppi’s is also accessible via MARC Train, Light Rail, MTA Buses and Charm City Circulator.
