The Monroeville Mall has been both shown and referenced in a LOT of films at this point in time. However it is only the original Dawn of the Dead that ever truly captured the mall in a significant way. A documentary is being done on the film and it’s clearly going to be giving tribute to Dawn of the Dead in all of it’s historical glory. This one is an absolute win for fans of how Dawn of the Dead came together.

Cinemall is a documentary about the ultimate movie location. The Monroeville Mall is located 12 miles outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Every year hundreds of movie fans from around the world make a pilgrimage to visit the mall ever since it “starred” in George A. Romero’s 1978 zombie classic Dawn of the Dead The line between fantasy and reality is obscured as they retrace the footsteps of the characters within the movie, and look for places where the action took place. When they enter the mall… they enter the movie.
