Another week and it seems that we find another Kickstarter to show off. This is a film that’s partially in bad taste and partially looks badass. Osombie will give us the tale of a certain terrorist who comes back as one of the living dead and I’m who will die spectacularly at the end. It’s going to be an over the top zombie fest and the trailer shown here isn’t a teaser or promo trailer – it’s what the film will look like. They are just trying to raise money for final editing and music, the rest has already been shot!
Osombie is an independently-produced, feature-length zombie film, packed with violence, mayhem, guns, blood and discussions about Pokemon. Oh, and zombies. Lots of zombies.
Also, the film has already been shot and edited, and we’re only looking for additional funding to finish post-production sound and music, so this is not some pie-in-the-sky dream. Our trailer is actual footage and effects from the film, so you can get a good gauge of the quality.
The story follows Dusty, a yoga instructor from Colorado, who is on a desperate rescue mission to save her crazy brother Derek, a conspiracy theorist who is convinced Osama Bin Laden is still alive, despite having been buried at sea. In Afghanistan, Dusty falls in with a team of NATO Special Forces on a secret assignment. Turns out Derek is not so crazy after all, and that Osama has returned from his watery grave and is making an army of zombie terrorists. When the group crashes headlong into the growing zombie apocalypse, Dusty and the troops must find and destroy the root of the zombie insurgency before it infests the rest of the world.
The Cast:
Corey Sevier (Chip) – a rising star, Corey has starred in a number of films, including The Lost Future with Sean Bean, Age of Dragons with Danny Glover, and the upcoming 3D horror Apartment 1303 with Mischa Barton.

How Kickstarter works: People pledge an amount and choose a reward. At the end of our 60-day Kickstarter campaign, if the combined total of all pledges for our project meets our $15,000 goal, then the credit cards of those who pledge are charged and we receive the funds to finish our film. If we don’t meet our goal, then the money is not withdrawn from your account and no rewards are provided :(. If we exceed our $15,000 goal then the extra funds will be used to make the movie even better – so keep pledging! All funds raised are used directly in the finishing of our film.
Our Rewards: We’re not looking for charity, we’re looking for an alternate sales venue – that’s why our rewards reflect fair market value. Don’t think of it as a donation, think of it as a pre-purchase. If you want to see this film, buy it now through Kickstarter – you’ll probably get a better deal from us than from whatever retailer ends up selling it in your country, and you’ll help make our film better!
The Filmmakers: We’re a small group of independent filmmakers who love making movies, and have been at it for about a decade. It’s our full-time job, and every film we have made has received worldwide distribution. We do pretty much everything ourselves, from conception to financing to production to securing distribution.
