First off I am obliged to tell you that Smoking Zombies are one of our sponsors. I’d like to follow that up by telling you that I don’t give fluff reviews so if I don’t like something I’m going to straight up tell you that I don’t. Incense? Something I’m not a huge fan of. Smoking Zombies though? Are 110% amazingly bad ass.
How bad ass are they? My beautiful wife, the love of my life, my perfect counterpart in all things is – not a fan of zombies. Yes she’s not a huge fan and when she took one look at these sitting on our coffee table she only had one thing to say.
“Hey those are pretty damn cool.”
Any time you hear that coming out of her mouth when it comes to zombies you know you have something that looks absolutely amazing on your hands. Seriously each and everyone of these Smoking Zombies is a work of art on their own. They are so well made they could be selling them as art for around the house (which is in fact what I am currently using ours for mixed in on our book shelves.)
There are quite a few options for styles of heads from soldiers to nuns to just a slew of really damn cool zombies on top of that. What else can you get with them? Well three stands that look amazingly fantastic. A really fantastic “Creeping Dead” stand with zombified hands crawling up it, a toxic barrel stand (that strangely reminds me of Trioxin container) and an evil looking stand to have your zombie head surrounded by skulls.
So what exactly are Smoking Zombies?
Well in the words of their creator …
Smoking Zombie Incense Burners are made for those who fear and love Zombies. Smoking Zombies are incense burners that include a Zombie head, a stand that holds the head and a base that holds 1 inch tall incense cones. When the incense is lit the incense smoke is directed through the stand, into the zombies’ head and out the various openings (eyes, mouth, nose, ears, wounds) in the zombies’ head. The zombie heads are all interchangeable so you can always get new heads and build on your collection. Who can possibly resist a Zombie that is belching smoke from his / her eyes, mouth, nose, and sometimes other wounds on the head?
Each Zombie in our line is cast from a hand carved original piece of Zombie art. After casting, each piece is drilled and cut for incense smoking and then laboriously hand painted in four separate stages resulting in each piece being a unique, one of a kind item.
They have more zombies in the works and occasionally have magnets and other random items for sale. Aside from regular zombies there is also a nifty Frankenstein’s Monster that will spew forth smoke AND a mutated zombie mixed with a dog. That one’s a bit freaky and I can’t even imagine where they came up with the idea of that one.
