Why did I write about a Zombie outbreak during the Victorian era?

I was born in the UK and wanted to describe how a very aristocratic gent would deal with something as grim as a stumbler, the undead, filth, scum– a trespasser!

The Earl of Rothshire epitomizes the upper class of that time. Life went swimmingly for him until the outbreak. So for one who has never had the need to lop the top off his own boiled egg, let alone the heads of diseased estate hands, life gets rather challenging. The Earl led a privileged life and would hardly associate with people below his station. A big part of the story revolves around his eccentric ways of meeting up and beating up people he would normally never mix with. I try my very best to rub his nose in the dirt and enjoy the way he rebounds.

The Caldecott Chronicles throws the Earl into bizarre incidents and takes a peek at the mindset, lifestyles and objects during an exciting era in British history.
