So a few years ago we first heard about The Revenant. In fact I had written about it coming soon so long ago that I honestly forgot the film was even coming out. It looks Lionsgate has decided to release the film and is giving it a theatrical release on August 24th, and a DVD, digital, and On Demand on September 18th. When released on DVD it will sell initially for $26.98 and will hopefully be as amazing as all of the early previews that I had read really made it out to be.
The breakout film centers on a fallen soldier who somehow finds he has joined the ranks of the living dead. Bart Gregory (Anders) has just recently been laid to rest – so why is he still up and walking around? The only way he can keep himself from diminishing to dust is to supply himself with a constant supply of fresh blood. He quickly decides to do law enforcement a favor by cleaning up the streets.
