I love when a short film concept becomes so fleshed out from a love of the undead that it turns into a full feature length project. Its still in VERY early stages and we’ll bring you more details of the film as it comes together.

Jamie’s got big dreams of getting out of her dead end town, but slinging hash to rude diners at Hick’s Family Steakhouse has left her broke and struggling to get by. When a local farmer befalls a strange illness, infection quickly spreads throughout the town to the employee Halloween party where Jamie, her ex-boyfriend, Rick, and the rest of the staff will have to turn the tables on the hungriest guests of their lives to stay off the menu and keep from being buried in the weeds.

Additional Info on the film:

86 ZOMBIES was originally conceived as a short film about a family restaurant chain store that is attacked by the undead on its last day of operation. While developing the script, it quickly became clear that 30 pages would not suffice in telling our story and has grown into a feature-length screenplay that has gone through several revisions. In August, September and October of 2011, after a 60-day crowd-funding campaign at www.indiegogo.com/86-zombies, we created this promotional trailer as a proof of concept. We are still in development on 86 ZOMBIES, which is growing into a trans-media entertainment project comprised of the feature-length digital motion picture, graphic novel and video game.
