After our last showing of the Christmas with the Dead Trailer we didn’t have a lot of solid details on the film. Thankfully one of the associate producers and actors of the film, Damian Maffei, was able to fill us in on all of the juicy details! We’re happy to now give you the official descriptions of the film to fill you in a bit more past what the trailer tells us. For those interested, read on!

Logline

In his quest to fulfill a promise made to his wife, Calvin sets out to right his wrongs and make it the best Christmas ever. If only it weren’t June, and the majority of the population, including his wife and daughter, hadn’t returned from the dead as flesh-eating snappers in search of hot human lunches, he’d be in pretty good shape.

Driven by guilt in a race against the apocalyptic clock, Calvin teams up with G.M., a wily ex-garbage man turned undead slayer, as together they attempt to deck the halls during the most magical time of the year. It’s Christmas in June. And snappers be damned… The lights and decorations are going up.

Synopsis

A mysterious lightning storm changes everyone in the world who sees it into electrified, opportunistic, flesh-eating Snappers. Those who miss out on the lights become possible hot lunches. Yep, it’s the end of the world, and Calvin’s neighbors, even his wife, want to eat him. And if his marriage was rocky before, it is now full of boulders, even if he’s got a wise, somewhat unstable, new buddy to guide him in the ways of the new world; a man up on certain kinds of dance music and the use of an accurate rifle. But the Snappers are only part of the problem. Calvin is trying to finish a promise he failed to complete before the apocalypse: decorating the outside of their house with Christmas lights, a request made by his wife for their little girl, Tina. It becomes an obsession. But finding the perfect ornaments and lights are only beginning of his problems.

Calvin and his new friend meet a clutch of survivors who believe that the Snappers are sent back from hell by God, that they have a need to feed, and that it is their job to make sure that need is fulfilled. Their beliefs and Calvin’s plans for the best Christmas ever, in the middle of June, collide. Will Calvin and his pal end up as Christmas dinner? And if he can make it home, what will he find waiting for him under the Christmas tree? Will Calvin get those lights up for his Snapper wife? You’ll have to see Christmas with the Dead to find out.
