It’s that time of year again. No, it’s not time for turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. It’s time for blood, guts, and brains! The second annual Astoria, NY zombie-walk cometh! The walk will take place on November 17, 2012 at 12:00pm. The 2011 event brought nearly 400 undead to the streets. The organizers are hoping for an even bigger crowd this time around!
All ages are welcome with parent or guardian. Zombie make-up will be provided at no cost, but donations are welcomed. All proceeds go to the Red Cross to help the victims still plagued by the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
Studio square is the start point, and the area the dedicated FX artists will be waiting to kill the hordes of living souls. The walk will end at the Rapture Lounge. In addition to participating in the zombie onslaught you will be able to have your portrait taken, and recieve a free limited supply button to commemorate the event. There will also be a number of special guests including: tarot car reader Diana, Thrill the World, artist Robb Ortel, and more!
A 21+ after-party will take place at Hellgate Social Club with free entry! There will be a costume contest, comedian Mike Orourke, a burlesque show with Minnie da Mooch and Blank Baby and the Adults. Bands include: Another Dead Clown, blkVampires, HIGH TEEN BOOGIE, Assorted Animals, Skeletal Life, and more!
