13 Year Old’s animated take on Daryl Dixon

| November 23, 2012 | 0 Comments More

This kid is going to be a HUGE animator in the future and we’re lucky to see his early work (and love of zombies) in his take on Daryl Dixon. This is awesome not only because of his talent but because of his age! Seriously at the time of posting this I’m 31 and couldn’t make something half this could. (It’d be a stick figure who raises and lowers his hand.. and still manage to look horrible.) This kid is going places. Good places.

I’m in middle school, and I want to become an Animation filmmaker. I love sci fi films!

Just for fun over the summer, I decided to make an animation music video inspired by Norman Reedus’ character “Daryl Dixon” of The Walking Dead tv show on AMC. I mostly like aliens, cyborgs, science fiction Comedy oriented stories, (Monsters vs Aliens, The Incredibles, etc..) so making this short film was different for me. And basically I liked the song a lot and was looking for something “heavy” to use it on. So a “zombie themed” film seemed like the right fit.

My next project will be a comedy fantasy adventure that will have more interaction dialogue, be trickier to edit, but that’s ok cause I’m up for the challenge! Enjoy the video everybody! – - – and thank you for all your comments.
