The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct to include Reedus and Rooker

The Walking Dead’s upcoming 360 game is going to be awesome. It just is. It’s both The Walking Dead and X-Box 360 so what can go wrong with it. Now it also has Reedus and Rooker taking part of the game itself so really do I need to say anything else aside from the fact that we’re now all going to pick it up?

Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker are bringing their talents to The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct video game. As things are ramping up on the third season of AMC’s Emmy Award-winning drama “The Walking Dead”, Activision and Terminal Reality are proud to announce that series stars Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker will reprise their respective roles as fan favorites Daryl and Merle Dixon in the upcoming The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Their addition is central to developer Terminal Reality’s commitment to delivering an engrossing, original experience that stays authentic to the characters, tone, and storyline of the series Entertainment Weekly called the “greatest thriller ever produced for television.”

This first-person survival title takes place within the universe of “The Walking Dead” and before the events of the AMC show, following Daryl Merle on a gruesome journey to reach Atlanta as the world around them ends. Reedus and Rooker will bring life to their characters’ desperate, unforgiving struggle against limited resources, the nightmarish walkers, and, perhaps, their fellow survivors…

Synopsis:
The Walking Dead video game takes the undead and brings them out of the AMC Emmy award-winning TV show and into console gaming systems in a new, terrifying way. Terminal Reality’s first-person action game will allow players to assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon on an unforgiving quest to the supposed safety of Atlanta. The iconic walkers will relentlessly hunt down players like their television counterparts using a combination of sight, sound, and smell. As Daryl, players will need to tread carefully throughout each new area they explore. Once discovered, it doesn’t take much to attract an unstoppable horde of undead walkers so every threat needs to be assessed and every situation analyzed. No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside alongside his overbearing brother, Merle, in this new, post-apocalyptic world.
