It’s in the final stretches before Zombie Hood makes it’s UK Premiere (we’re dying to see it!) and the post production month news notes are in!
Post Production…
With just under a month before Zombie Hood gets it’s first UK Premiere, we’re still working away in post production, putting the final touches on the film. We’re making a few alterations to the film edit, but nothing too drastic, however this affects both sound and vision, so we’re not quite there yet. However, don’t worry, there will be a finished film to watch come January.
We’ve recently received a few emails regardfing the UK viewings of Zombie Hood, so I guess that now would be a good time to answer some of your questions. The Thursday 10th January viewing is strictly by invite only and tickets for this viewing are not available for purchase. Tickets for the Friday 11th 6.30pm viewing have all been sent out electronically to your email address. Please check your spam folder before contacting us if you haven’t received them. Tickets for the 8.30pm viewing on the Friday haven’t been sent out yet, but should go out before Christmas. For those of you who purchased tickets for the Sunday viewing on 20th January, these tickets will be sent out early in the new year.
We’ll continue to update our Facebook page between now and the Premiere with regular updates.
Tickets for the afterparty: If you’ve purchased tickets for either of the Friday shows, they also give you access to the after party. If you’ve emailed us regarding the after party and have received a confirmation email in return, then you’re name will be on the guest list.
It’s highly unlikely we’ll be able to get a trailer out before the Premiere as time has crept up on us, but for those of you who can’t make the UK viewings of the film, it’s something I’ll prioritise for early in the new year.
What happens to the film after the Premiere? The first thing will be to take the feedback that we’ve recieved from the public and media after the January viewings; and then make a few changes to audio and vision, before we create a version of the film that will be sent out as a ‘screener’ to film distributors. From then on, who knows, but hopefully it will hit a number of film festivals, play in selected cinema’s and get a DVD release.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride, over 2 years in the making, but I would like to sign off in 2012 by thanking everyone involved in producing Zombie Hood, from the crew, the cast, the extras, the undead hoard and the people of Nottingham and the surrounding areas who made it all possible by offering their support. I would especially like to thank the films Producer, Susan Hayes, for putting up with an amazing amount of s**t from me over the past few years, but it was all worth it in the end, hopefully…
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
