They’re Coming to Get You, Barbara.

| January 15, 2013 | 0 Comments More

You may or may not be familiar with the band No More Kings, though you should be. As a self-proclaimed nerd, they’re one of my favorite bands right now, with their songs talking about 80s TV, Roleplaying Games, and other things relevant to my interests… Such as zombies. If you have heard of them before, it’s probably due to their song “Zombie Me” from their first, self-titled album. Well, as you can see at the top of this post, they’ve recently released a new single and accompanying music video called “They’re Coming to Get You, Barbara”. As should be evident, it’s the story of Barbara from the original Night of the Living Dead in ballad form. You can listen to it for free on YouTube or on the No More Kings website, or you can buy the single at several places, such as iTunes, Amazon, or even Etsy.

Apparently, this is the first song for an upcoming album called “Songs for the Undead”. The band plans on releasing a new song every month, split between “Songs for the Undead” and another concept album called “1973″, until they have enough songs for each to release them as full albums. The next song for the undead is coming out on February.
