If you don’t get the joke I won’t fault you on this one. It’s not “technically” from a zombie movie as 28 Days Later wasn’t a zombie movie. Sure it has zombie movie aspects but there wasn’t a zombie to be seen in the entire film – just infected people. When they died – THEY DIED. There was no re-animation.
Still it’s close enough so I allow it on here and for those of you that do get it – totally worth a chuckle. Need a reminder on this one?
Zombie movies are good for a lot of things, including good ole fashioned humor. 28 Days Later features the classic It’s Not a Lion It’s a Giraffe joke between Mark and Jim:
A man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They both get pissed. The giraffe falls over. The man goes to leave and the bartender says, “Oi. You can’t leave that lyin’ there.” And the man says, “No. It’s not a lion. It’s a giraffe.”
Get it? It’s not a LION! Oh man. Good times, good times. Own your own Lion shirt printed in red on a soft black tee…the bleakest colors are always most appropriate for a zombie Apocalypse, you know.
