zombielandcasting The Zombieland television series is on their way with the first casting announced!

It looks like JoBlo was able to receive the initial news that two of the leads for the upcoming Zombieland television series have been cast. Tyler Ross is going to be taking over Jesse Eisenberg’s roll as Columbus and Izabela Vidovic is taking over the part of Abigail Breslin’s Little Rock.

There is currently no news on who is going to be cast for Wichita and most importantly Tallahassee. I am eagerly awaiting to see the zombie kill of the week that should be in each episode> I do have to say though I think I would have preferred if they had given us new leads and just put it in the Zombieland universe. I don’t know if they’ll be able to pull off the chemistry of the original cast but I am absolutely looking forward to giving it a try.

No one hold their breath though as only 2 cast members have been named so far so we are still quite a ways off to actually seeing an episode be produced.

The show itself is being produced by Sony Television and being released through Amazon Studios. The original writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, wrote the pilot and will both be executive producing with the film’s initial producer, Gavin Polone.
