As you’ve all heard the Mythbusters have shot a zombie spectacular episode.
No word on when this gem of the small screen will air, or what exactly they will be putting to the test, but one thing is certain they picked the wrong Dixon Brother.
That’s right, Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci will be putting our favorite monsters to the test.
Will they be testing the best method for dispatching the undead? Will they be putting to rest exactly what causes zombies to rise? These are unanswered questions.
All we do know for a fact, is they requested hundreds of extras over the age of 18 for a shoot this month, and that stumpy himself, that’s right Michael Rooker the man who plays Merle Dixon is slated to be a guest.
Come on Discovery, you couldn’t spring for an actual star? Hell, I’d have taken Hershel over Merle.
I’m sure Mr. Rooker is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to the world of surviving the zombie apocalypse. What with his years of military training, extensive zombie knowledge outside of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and the fact his character sawed his own hand off in the first season.
Now, I would love to go into more detail on the whole episode that was shot, but those details are currently unavailable to me. So I’m sit to wonder what is going to happen and why they decided to go with the biggest pain in the buttocks character in the series, well second biggest but hey Shane died twice.
Now I know Mr. Rooker isn’t a bad guy off screen, in fact he’s quite the opposite. All around nice guy, but not exactly the kind of person you’d expect to see testing theories about the zombie apocalypse right?
But what exactly is Merle going to teach us about zombie survival? The only reason he survived is because the Governor rescued him and turned him into an attack dog. Just in case you haven’t seen the latest episodes I won’t go into further detail on this.
I just hope that Jamie, Adam, Grant, Tory, and Kari can step up their game and provide answers that we all are looking for. But when it comes down to it, the best we can hope for is that the group tests some of the survival manuals out there, or a few of The Walking Dead scenarios and moves on.
All hope isn’t lost for the Mythbusters though, they did get Aaron Paul for the Breaking Bad episode. I mean he’s no Walter White, but having Jesse Pinkman isn’t a total loss.
