Hot on the heels of the news that we’d get additional content for Telltale’s amazing game version of The Walking Dead before season two comes out, we now have news from Dan Connors, Telltale’s CEO, that the current plan is to release season two sometime this fall. GameInformer.com recently hit us with this scoop after asking for clarification of a statement made in an interview with Connors which suggested that they were aiming for a fall 2014 release. Telltale responded with:
“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series.”
So it looks like season two is coming out a LOT earlier than I certainly expected. I would say this is great news, but I don’t want to get myself too excited. High expectations, even warranted high expectations, are the surest path to disappointment.
Ah, what the heck… HOLY CRAP IT’S COMING OUT THIS YEAR!!! WOO HOO!
