This Iron Man Cosplay is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Zombie Iron Man Cosplay

For those of you who don’t know what cosplay is, it’s a portmanteau, which is basically a shortened mash up of two words, in this case “costume” and “play”.  Now saying costume play calls to mind all sorts of unpleasant images ranging from the basement of your creepy neighbor to that guy in high school that demanded that everyone refer to him as ‘Lestat’, all while trying to keep his pharmacy bought Dracula teeth in place. But in reality cosplay is actually a very involved and detailed form of performance art that tends to take place at various Cons throughout the world.

The web is flooded with cosplay pictures ranging from slightly disturbing to overwhelmingly impressive. The people involved in cosplay tend to draw inspiration from anime, videogames and comics, but I have yet to come across any cosplay imagines that delve into the world of the Marvel Zombies series. Fans have always held mixed feelings regarding this branch of the Marvel Universe, but I’m sure that all will find something to love about these shots of a zombified Iron Man.

Now I’m not really sure about the feasibility of a zombified Iron Man because how is a zombie going to operate the suit? But after telling my inner nerd to be quiet I found the attention to detail and paint job on this cosplay outfit to be outstanding. A shot of note allows you to see the ribs and sternum of an undead Tony Stark through a gash in the Iron Man armor. Cosplay may not be your thing, but this one is a work of art and definitely warrants a look regardless of your feelings towards the Marvel Zombie comics or that guy at Starbucks that will surrender your coffee only after you’ve properly addressed him as ‘Batman’.
