We’ve mentioned Detention of the Dead a ‘few’ times in the past. Finally after all of this time it looks as if the film is getting a limited screen release! On Friday, June 28, 2013. Hopefully they have a Chicago showing in their listing because Detention of the Dead has seriously been looking as if it could be hilarious on it’s release. While zombie comedies are always hit or miss this one looks great. C’mon Chicago screening!
Who am I kidding? I won’t be able to get out of the house in June from a new kid. Hopefully they’ve got screener copies of Detention of the Dead that they will send out! Though with how busy I’ll be I’m sure I’ll be out of look there too since the responsible thing to do will be to send it to another reviewer. Dammit!
What’s Detention of the Dead about?
Comedy and Horror unite in this “The Breakfast Club†meets “Shaun of the Dead” tale about a group of oddball high school students who find themselves trapped in detention with their classmates having turned into a horde of Zombies. Can they put their differences aside and work together to survive the night? Fat chance! This is High School after all.
