The Walking Dead is without question a television juggernaut. It went from a short six episode test season to a full blown TV hit, crossing genre boundaries and drawing in fans who might have otherwise passed over something zombie-themed. As with all things, this success has spread TWD’s influence into other realms ranging from clothing, video games and board games. Hell, previously I had written an article about zombie perfume, which most likely wouldn’t have been realized without TWD, certainly not the label, which used the Dead Yourself App.

And as with all things there have been mixed results with TWD’s foray into other areas. The first video game was well received, but the second one…well not so much. My opinion is still out on TWD Monopoly, but knowing what previous Monopoly crossovers have offered, I’ll probably save my fifty bucks and just play as the damn iron instead of Shane.

So as with most of rants, there is a point to be made hidden deep underneath my general crapulence and that point is, that some stuff inspired by TWD is actually really, really good. And that my friends is where the art of Micheal Rogers comes in. Rogers runs the Etsy store Big Bad Robot, which sells his original artwork, much of which is Walking Dead inspired.

There really is no way to describe all of the detail involved in Rogers’s posters, but what I will say is that you can get three 11×17 prints, all very cool, for only $35. Each of these posters captures a scene from the recent season and sets it against a colorful walker backdrop.

So now to answer the question that I’m sure many, many TWD fans having been asking since the beginning of this article…is there a Daryl poster? Yes, there most certainly is and I have to say it’s pretty damn cool. Daryl fans of the world can adorn their walls with a richly detailed movie-sized poster that captures their beloved crossbow-toting crush in all his bad ass glory. Enjoy!

Riding into bedrooms and hearts, alike.
