Currently about to come out in India is ‘Go Goa Gone’ which will be the nation’s first zombie comedy. It is written and directed by Raj Nidimoru and co-directed by Krishna DK, the film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemmu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta. There aren’t any immediate plans for a US release though I’m sure one will come in time.
The promotional material has been seen in the millions of views at this point and they have full faith it will be a smash hit in Indian box offices as well as have a good chance to be viewed everywhere. Zombieland was the great US zombie comedy and Shaun of the Dead is the great UK zombie comedy. Will Go Goa Gone end up as not only the first but THE Indian zombie comedy? Only time will tell
