day-of-the-dead

Day of the Dead is often argued as Romero’s best work. Honestly any of his original three zombie films could work but Day of the Dead gave us Bub, the first intelligent zombies, and for years was thought of the bookend to THE zombie trilogy. Sure that changed as Romero decided to make more zombie films that mostly didn’t stack up as well but still – Day of the Dead is a fantastic zombie film.

We’re happy to tell you that one of our favorite zombie films also now has a release date and we’ll all be able to order it on September 17th 2013. I CAN’T WAIT!

What is Day of the Dead About?

For those of you who have been living under a rock since 1985…

Below ground in a fortified installation, scientists conduct experiments to understand the virus that has turned humanity into flesh-hungry zombies. Isolated and deprived of natural light, the researchers begin clashing with their military protectors and it soon becomes apparent that their co-dwellers are just as dangerous and unpredictable as the zombies gathering to enter their safe haven… Director George A. Romero follows Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead with this stark, unflinching sequel that stands as the series’ most gritty and astoundingly gory installment.
