As part of Wizard World’s series of exclusive collectible Walking Dead #1 variant covers, attendees of The NYC Experience from June 28 – 30 will receive the Neal Adams cover featuring Rick and Glenn battling walkers in downtown Atlanta. As a special VIP bonus, attendees who purchase VIP passes will also receive a black-and-white sketch cover. Adams is a Eisner Award Hall of Famer best known as the artist who transformed Batman from his campy ’60s personal to the “Dark Knight” we know today. Adams will be attending Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience and will be available to sign copies of the limited edition comic.
The NYC Experience is scheduled to feature five Walking Dead cast members: Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden, and Chandler Riggs. After seeing the crazy lines for the Walking Dead cast and the panel in Philadelphia, we recommend going VIP if you can afford it (unless you don’t mind spending your entire time at the con waiting in lines with no guarantee that you’ll meet the actors or get into the panels). The NYC Experience also offers a crazy-sounding Celebrity Cruise on Friday night (6/28) featuring Reedus, Rooker, and  Bernthal — three hours fansanity on a boat on the Husdon River for an extra $200 (convention tickets not included).
