Well thanks to the fine folks over at Arrow in the Head we all have recently learned the fun little tidbit that Resident Evil 6 is going to be returning this fall. We’re on the 6th installment in the franchise that will continue to star Milla Jovovich as Alice and be directed once more by Paul W.S. Anderson.
It looks as if in a recent interview he did the mention came up that it will begin filming this fall which should be immediately after he finished filming Pompeii. While the film originally was slotted for a release date of September 12, 2014 things started to look like that wouldn’t happen when Milla Jovovich announced on Twitter that we’d probably expect a 2015 release. With how much of a budget these films get and 5 prior films of experience to draw from we could still see this target release date hit.
No word on the plot or other actors quite yet though I have a feeling we’re going to have the film continue where #5 left off.
