Well for those of you out there who love ZombiU (if you read our ZombiU Review you’ll know that we did) we unfortunately have some bad news for you. While critically acclaimed the game itself was a commercial flop. It wasn’t just that the game itself was a flop but many consider the Wii U itself a flop. The most recent of people who feel this way is Yves Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Ubisoft, who is pulling support from the system by making many of their games no longer exclusive and to some just pulling the plug.
When talking about a sequel to ZombiU he had this to say: it was one of the “most profitable launch titles for the system with players, [it] was not profitable. Not even close. As such, there are no plans (or even desire) for a sequel..” This is sad news because honestly if they would release the game for other consoles I have a feeling he’d be singing quite a different tune as he watched sales skyrocket on the X-Box and Playstation.
Sadly that looks to be a piece of news we’ll never be able to report on as they have no apparent intention to go that route.
