We don’t know a lot about the new indie film ‘Life After Beth’. What we do know is that it is a zombedy that will star Aubrey Plaza (‘Parks and Recreation’), John C. Reilly (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’), Dane DeHaan (‘The Place Beyond the Pines’), Molly Shannon (‘Saturday Night Live’), Paul Reiser (‘Mad About You’), Cheryl Hines (‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’), Anna Kendrick (‘Pitch Perfect’) and Matthew Gray Gubler (‘Criminal Minds’). It’s also just completed filming.
The film is being put together by XYZ Films and is the directorial debut of Jeff Baena (‘I Heart Huckabees’). I’m sure this completion time has nothing to do with trying to get it into the next Toronto Film Festival scene for seeking international distribution. It’s already found US distribution via Sony PIctures lassics.
The rough plot is that we follow Zach (DeHaan) whose girlfriend just died. The real rough part of that is that she’s just come back to life and I’m assuming is a little bit hungry to boot.
We’ll give you more details as they show up!
