The Left 4 Dead fan movie has been out and about forever and we’ve covered it a few times. Now they’ve got a new website up and running and we’re happy to share it with you so that’ll have more details on it!
Left 4 Dead-The Movie is an unofficial project, born in 2010. Made by a handful of fans for fans and their entertainment. It is an entirely non-profit film based on the hit videogame from Valve.
It is a Very Low Budget production, which has become a reference among the online community in these years and a community itself with 280,000 active fans, this makes Left 4 Dead The Movie a production followed in 3 continents and several countries around the world.
Its long gestation is understandable in light of the fact that none of the professionals involved in its realization is paid for their performance. This disn’t let us to shoot every time we need to shoot during these years. Then, logistical problems added to technical ones, and 3 of 4 main actors we had chosen at the beginning left the project due to transfers in other cities.
During the 2012 due to internal issues and job opportunities also part of the technical cast has left the project, producing a lengthy stop to review the operational team. Our strong passion and tenacity and the affection demonstrated by the fans, who, despite the long wait, haven’t stopped support, have driven the production to continue and go straight until the end.
The deadline for the production phase is scheduled August 2013.
The movie will be released for free on the web once it finished.
