So if you don’t want to watch the above video the meat and potatoes is that once upon a time there was a world without ‘The Walking Dead’ and in order to get it published Robert Kirkman had to lie and say that the comic was really about an alien invasion and the zombie apocalypse was actually just the first wave of the attack and once it got to that point you’d go back and see a slew of Easter Eggs pointing to it all along.
Clearly now with the popularity of both the book and television show that doesn’t need to happen but what a great idea! (One that you can actually find in a couple of published books…)
