On February 7th it was announced that ‘Resident Evil: Revelations’ has sold a million titles across the 360, PS3, Wii U and PC platforms.

That number is extremely low for a multi-million dollar franchise that has existed for decades. With a franchise that has been pushing 2 games a year for quite some time now (when you look at re-releases, ports, upgraded versions, etc.) the main problems with this are probably from over saturation combined with lowered quality control. At this point in time Capcom has to take a good hard look at their franchise and what they are doing to it. Yes, releasing 2 games a year from it sounds great on paper but when your core audience is losing interest from too many ports and re-releases of the same game combined with a lowered quality and change of base enemies.

Capcom you guys have got to get your shit together. Remember when the games enemies were mainly zombies and you had to be extra careful to find save points and avoid the enemy and everyone loved the games and they were selling like gang busters?

Food for thought. This isn’t a franchise that has to be run into the ground.
