If it’s one thing we can all be iffy on is that a Capcom gaming franchise turned film will stick to it’s roots. While the ‘Resident Evil’ films did initially feature zombies, they got old fast. Not only that but the spirit of the games went away even quicker. So, I’m curious as to how ‘Dead Rising’ will do with director Zach Lipovsky (‘Leprechaun: Origins’,’Time Upon a Once’) at the helm.
While Lipovsky recently directed the ‘Leprechaun: Origins’ film, he is better known for his digital work and so at the very least we should be getting some great eye candy for this 90 minute film that is in the works.
There is no word yet as to if the film will be based off of any of the specific video games or if it will just be borrowing from the world that the franchise has created.
