Well we knew that Capcom wanted to infect television with a new ‘Resident Evil’ television series though didn’t have much details past that. German production house Constantin Film is the company that will be handling the series though past that details have been scant. In a recent interview about ‘The Mortal Instruments’ being turned into a television series as well, Constantin exec board chairman Martin Moszkowicz gave us one detail that anyone looking forward to the series might be excited about, a potential time for when it will be produced.
So when can we expect it? Sadly next year isn’t going to be the answer as it will be at some point “after” the next film is released. It IS on the way folks, just don’t expect it until the last movie closes the chapter of the current film franchise.
While there is no word if this will continue on from the cinematic universe I’m pretty sure that the smart thing to do would be to take us back to Raccoon City and give us a fresh take of the series from the very beginning.
