ZombeerLogo_SplatterMaybe This Year Productions and Fortress Features has released its latest film, the critically acclaimed “Bloodsucking Bastards”, in select theaters and video on demand this week. Along with the film’s well-known actors and memorable character is another star getting plenty of screen time and playing a critical role in the film: the zombie shoot ‘em up video game Zombeer. Horror-comedy “Bloodsucking Bastards” was heavily featured at the Slamdance festival and received a distribution deal from Shout! Factory, making it widely available now.

The film follows Evan Sanders as a lowly salesman working his way up the corporate ladder at his boring, dead-end job. He is surrounded by lazy friends and co-workers that would rather tell raunchy jokes and play the bawdy-humor filled video game Zombeer, from U&I Entertainment. Everything changes when Evan’s rival, Max, takes over as sales director, as these office workers must take the skills they’ve learned killing the undead in Zombeer and use them for real when they find out Max is a vampire.

“’Bloodsucking Bastards’ is a great film and fits perfectly in with our target audience for Zombeer – people who love crude humor mixed with over-the-top action,” said Shane Dodson, CPO, U&I Entertainment. “Slacker gamers everywhere can draw inspiration from learning that drunken zombie killing can potentially extend our life and save the day in the event of an undead invasion.”

Along with the movie hitting the big screen, Zombeer ($9.99) is available for download now for anyone with the frenetic shooting skills and an appetite for beer needed to survive the zombie apocalypse at http://store.steampowered.com/app/262190/
