PREMIUM Zombie Escape Plan Journal - Customized for you
“Essentially, the regular zombie books are journals for you to write your plan for what you would do in case of a Zombie Attack. In addition to the plain white paper for writing, the books have a random assortment of paper from old books that is, in theory, useful in case of an attack: first aid info and maps etc.

Pretty cool, huh? But the Premium Zombie Escape Plan Journals are even better because you get to decide what goes in them!

You get to choose:

1) Which maps go in the book. You tell me up to 5 different locations and I will find maps of those places to go in the book. (Keep in mind that the maps I have may not be up-to-date.)

2) What it says on the cover (if you’d like it to say anything other than “Zombie Escape Plan.”)

3) What the first page and up to 4 other pages (5 total) will be. I’ll send you a photo of some potential pages for you to choose from and you tell me which 5 you want and what order you want them in.

4) What your ratio of blank pages to “repurposed” pages will be. (There is a maximum of 105 sheets of paper (210 pages) per book.)

5. What kind of paper you would like for your blank pages. You can choose plain white, lined, gridded or a combination.

6) And you are free to make any other requests (like, “use lots of really disgusting medical pictures”) and I will do my best to comply.

Each book is sprial bound and measures approximately 5.5 inch by 4.25. ”

Zombie Blondes by Brian James
“From the moment Hannah Sanders arrived in town, she felt there was something wrong. A lot of houses were for sale, and the town seemed infected by an unearthly quiet. And then, on Hannah’s first day of classes, she ran into a group of cheerleaders—the most popular girls in school. The odd thing was that they were nearly identical in appearance: blonde, beautiful, and deathly pale. But Hannah wants desperately to fit in—regardless of what her friend Lukas is telling her: if she doesn’t watch her back, she’s going to be blonde and popular and dead—just like all the other zombies in this town. . . .”

Eaten Alive!: Italian Cannibal and Zombie Movies by Jay Slater
“From the 1970s to the 1990s, Italian moviemakers produced the goriest exploitation films ever made, using recurring plot devices of cannibalism and putrefied zombie flesh eaters. Eaten Alive! dissects this outrageous period, setting it within its cultural and cinematic context. With an introduction explaining the origins of the gruesome genre, the book charts every bloody step, from the renowned Pasolini, who employed cannibalism as a satirical metaphor, to shocking “documentaries” such as Cannibal Holocaust, an acknowledged influence on The Blair Witch Project. Informed, irreverent contributions from legends of the modern horror scene round out this fascinating book.”

The Serpent And The Rainbow

October 4, 2008 · Filed Under Books · Comment

The Serpent And The Rainbow
“In April 1982, ethnobotanist Wade Davis arrived in Haiti to investigate two documented cases of zombis — people who had reappeared in Haitian society years after they had been officially declared dead and had been buried. Drawn into a netherworld of rituals and celebrations, Davis penetrated the vodoun mystique deeply enough to place zombification in its proper context within vodoun culture. In the course of his investigation, Davis came to realize that the story of vodoun is the history of Haiti — from the African origins of its people to the successful Haitian independence movement, down to the present day, where vodoun culture is, in effect, the government of Haiti’s countryside.

The Serpent and the Rainbow combines anthropological investigation with a remarkable personal adventure to illuminate and finally explain a phenomenon that has long fascinated Americans. ”
