The Dishonored Dead is sitting free on the Kindle for the next few days and if you read our review you’ll know you want to pick this one up quickly and pay for it, being free I don’t know why you are still reading this! It’s not a different take on the undead genre but it IS a unique version of how society itself is.

Zombie Font is a fun little website that lets you zombify anything that you type. It’s cute but it’s far from what could be considered ‘done’ unfortunately. While I would have preferred they either let you save the font and use locally this isn’t ‘bad’ for generating a few words put together by the undead. The problem comes in when you go to save the image you have created. You really can’t easily.

The image below involved taking a screen capture of the website’s final product of ‘buy zombie’ and than editing it so the ‘buy’ was centered over the ‘zombie’. Again it’s not bad, it’s a little fun, and we got an interesting new ‘buy zombie’ logo to use out of it. Still, it needs a bit of work.

When it comes to new things free tends to trump having to pay anything. Fortunately the author of The Zombie’s Bride, Thea Isis Gregory, agreed with that statement and has released her ebook for free for all to enjoy!

Zombie Misfits is a Facebook zombie game that really just looks to be a ton of fun. Free games can range from being great to being horrible and I’m sure if you check this one out it’ll lean ‘slightly’ more to the great side. Amazing graphics, great level design, side scroller, and just fun.

Who here likes zombies? Everyone? Good! (yes I know that was a stupid question for our readers.) Who here likes free flash games? Not everyone but still a decent amount? Excellent! Well there’s a new free online flash game available to be played. While it’s currently still in beta form you can already run around and kill zombies. RedDead Coat zombies! It’s a new take on the American Revolution!

The guys behing this free online first person shooter gives us Ben Franklin killing undead zombie Red Coats with an electric laser rifle (that I’m sure he designed.) How patriotic right?

Zombies + Electric musket = good times. The top-shots at Neo-Pangea offer internet gamers DeadCoats their free zombie shoot-em-up. Taking down zombies is fun, but taking down zombies that are also historical bad-guys can give a player a special kind of warm fuzzy. Early America was a place where only the most tough and resourceful individuals would survive. Add to that a horde of undead British regulars and there’s only one Founding Father with the electric personality and liberty bells to have on your side!

You can play it online, for free, RIGHT NOW over at the Dead Coats Website. Just remember you need to make sure you have Flash 11 or higher installed. Also, again, it is a beta. Some of the aiming is a bit off at times but for the most part it’s pretty accurate!

Zombie Pumpkins Offers Up A Free Fulci Zombie Pattern!

It’s that time of the year again. Christmas for the horror crowd when Halloween comes into effect this month with Halloween season in full swing. One thing that happens quite often with all things Halloween is pumpkin carving (or smashing depending on your age and maturity.)

I don’t know about you but I can’t magically make pumpkins look like a work of art when turning them into a Jack O Lantern by lightly carving them up. In fact without a pattern of some kind they tend to look like a mess. Fortunately that’s where Zombie Pumpkins comes in! So Max Brooks is kind of a cool guy. He wrote a few small books you’ve never heard of (World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide) so is clearly trying to just cash in on the fact that his father is Mel Brooks. What an asshole! (OK That’s a lie Max Brooks is awesome.) That being said we’ve found out he’s released a book online for free!
