Earlier this year The Ambert Alert network released a very anti-gun public service announcement starring 4 people with guns.

E3Vidz decided that this PSA was much better as a Left 4 Dead 3 commercial. Humor ensues.

The Passing Teaser Poster Released

As shown above, the teaser poster for Left 4 Dead’s first downloadable content The Passing has been released. Granted it doesn’t have the entertaining slogan that they all do quite yet, but whose to complain about that? You just know with Valve it will be something hilarious.

Speaking of The Passing…

When it drops in march (yes that’s next month for anyone who hasn’t been in the loop) you get a small little bonus from the original cast. While not playable they are no longer just ‘there’ exactly. They have a lot more interaction conversationally with how you are able to talk to them. Both from the beginning of the DLC as well as at the end of the third map (right before it puts you back into the regular game for L4D2.)

Basically the conversations you have all depend on what responses you give as well as how you played part of the game. The most fun part? There is still an add on for the original Left 4 Dead in the works and while none of the new cast will be showing up in it, some of the new scenary and town will! (Though the cast is something they were originally planning on.)

Something everyone should be excited about though is a new form of the infected known as the Fallen Survivor. These are apparently humans who somehow thought they were immune to infection though I’m not sure how that will play into them being different quite yet.

Fan Made Left 4 Dead Movie

I’ve had quite a few e-mails come in on this one. (Hey, who doesn’t love Left 4 Dead right?) The trailer looks pretty good even though we have no ideas on acting or real special effects quite yet. Of course being fan-made you can only expect so much. Or, can you? If nothing else maybe this will spur a studio into making the film. Of course we can always hope that this one turns out well to keep us happy in the meantime!

Who Needs A Fancy Next Gen System To Play Everyone’s Favorite Zombie Shooter?

Sadly as it’s my Birthday week (Yes I’m so great it takes a full week for the celebrations to die down, it has nothing to do with me being at the day job as I type this) I haven’t had a chance to play this yet and probably won’t until next week. However when I first wrote on this I was nothing but excited on the thought of an 8-Bit Left 4 Dead game. As time has passed I am STILL excited and can’t wait to give this a shot!

Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead is a retro de-make of Valve’s hit zombie killing masterpiece. Lovingly recreated in a fashion that would have been acceptable in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, this de-make stands as the flagship title of the upcoming Pixel Force series from Eric Ruth Games. Go alone, or invite a friend for 2 player co-op against the zombie apocalypse in all 4 of the original game campaigns. 2 difficulties and all 4 of the survivors make a glorious 8-bit appearence, complete with first and second tier weapons scattered along your path to escape. So, grab your controller of choice and kick back with an award-winning retro take on the end of the world with Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead.

Converting New Games To Classics Is Brilliant

I love seeing my inbox where I get to see something absolutely amazing that I can share with you all. Left 4 Dead 8 Bit, whose trailer is above, is a freeware NES game that plans on being released early next year. Assuming Valve does not block the release it’s one that every emulator playing zombie fan has to pick up – immediately upon release. If you don’t know why just watch this trailer and you’ll understand why this game isn’t just amazing but a work of art for every classic gamer out there.

Valve had put out another shirt for the zombie lovers in mind that was inspired by their amazing Left 4 Dead game. We’ve already heard announcements and mixed reviews that a sequel is in the works and hopefully aside from a few pieces of bad press it will live up to properly continue the story. For now though. Left 4 Dead Is As Great As We Thought!

Left 4 Dead has made a new milestone in it’s sales to be proud of. NOT INCLUDING the sales on it’s steam platform to PC users- Left 4 Dead has sold over 2.5 million copies. For a game focused on both primarily multiplayer and is set in a world of zombies this is a huge win for zombie fans everywhere! These figures should give everyone hope that the undead will not be forgotten in games, as long as they are quality games. Great job Valve!
